Staying Married?
Whatever happened to the most sacred vows one pledges to another? In this society, it has been the norm to divorce whenever you feel like it. In some states, you do not need a reason to divorce your wife or husband. Somehow, this is making it too easy to leave your spouse. You had vowed to one another to love, cherish each other in sickness and health. Who would have thought that some leave just because they can? A person told me a long time ago that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. You already know the person that you are married to, so why leave and start all over again with the same problems that you are facing now? That person, had integrity, until he served his wife with divorce papers right after her Mother died. No integrity anymore. It is just a shame that we don't try harder to make marriage work rather than tossing out the baby with the bath water. |
